TARs is led by an executive board, elected by the TARs at their annual convention at Camp Rimrock each July. This year Alexa Moeller of Watertown is serving as TAR Chair.

There is also an advisory board that helps the executive board, and plans major events, such as the Mock Legislature and TAR Camp. Gubernatorial chief of staff Dusty Johnson serves as the state advisor to the Teen Age Republicans.

Alexa Moeller, 2011-2012 TAR Chairman

Alexa Moeller is a junior at Watertown High School and served as the TAR secretary last year. She is active in many school activities, including debate and oral interp. Alexa is an outstanding photgrapher, volunteer, and student. She has made the honor roll each quarter of high school. Dusty Johnson, State TAR Advisor

Dusty is a former TAR and served as TAR Chairman in 1994. He and his wife Jacquelyn live in Mitchell where Jacquelyn is a financial advisor. They have two sons, Max and Ben. Dusty is a former senior policy advisor to Governor Mike Rounds, and in 2004 and 2010 he was elected statewide (with the help of TARs across the state) to the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission. He currently serves as chief of staff to Governor Dennis Daugaard and was named the nation’s top TAR advisor in 2010.
