- A real highlight for most students is being able to debate bills (both fun and serious) on the floor of the state Senate and House of Representatives.
- More than 100 students from across the state routinely participate in the event, held each March.
- Each year a bipartisan slate of Statewide elected officials like Governor Dennis Daugaard participate in the Mock Legislature.
- The weekend features fun activities like scavenger hunts, tours, games, and basketball.
